Tim and I adore finding new ways to fall in love with old places. Most of our first dates included picking up locally roasted coffee and venturing out to Chewacla State Park. We’d hike to our favorite spot and to spend the afternoon day-dreaming of what life after high school would be like. Now, at (almost!) one year of marriage, we are revisiting our dear friend Chewacla with our new friends Erica + Anatstacio.
There is something truly special about getting to know a couple during an engagement session. We learn about their jobs (Erica is a wicked awesome scientist + lifestyle blogger – omg goals), how they met, and all the usual get to know you questions. But then, we have the amazing opportunity to witness their love, first hand. We see the sweet way he guides her as they walk, how he gently kisses her shoulders, and the way her laughter lights up his world.
When we were planning their engagement session Erica immediately mentioned that she wanted to get in the water. Not only does get messy make for amazing photos, but playing in a waterfall is the best way to cool down from the hot, humid heat of a Alabama summer.
